L'Oreal, the world's largest cosmetic and beauty conglomerate, is in search of a highly skilled WordPress Developer to join our team. As a part of the digital transformation of L'Oreal, the successful candidate will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. We focus on quality and customer satisfaction, therefore we expect you to ensure a superb user experience through attractive and functional designs.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop user-friendly, responsive and SEO-friendly websites for our brands using WordPress.
2. Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on the company's requirements.
3. Collaborate with the design team to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
4. Conduct regular website performance tests, troubleshoot any possible issues and identify areas of improvement.
5. Establish and guide the site's architecture, ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects.
6. Support and maintain existing WordPress sites, fixing bugs and adding new features.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
2. Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
3. Experience designing and developing responsive design websites with WordPress.
4. Familiarity with PHP and MySQL relational database programming.
5. Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
6. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
7. Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred:
1. BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce is a plus.
3. English and/or French language proficiency.
